Dear Visitors/Users, Coinbar deeply value your privacy and, more generally,  protection of your personal data.

The General Data Protection Regulation EU 2016/679 (GDPR) requires everyone to provide the following information on the processing of your personal data, in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of the said regulation.


“Processing of Personal Data” means any procedure concerning any “information about a natural person, identified or identifiable”. [email protected]…) are considered “Personal Data”.- Your personal wallet, which contains the funds you transfer to the Coinbar Wallet, may also include personal data of the owner. The fact of gathering this kind of data, registering them in our system and using them to offer you the Services provided by Coinbar, or even  the fact of sending you a communication fall under the definition of “processing” of personal data. Likewise, sharing personal data to other parties and their storage are examples of processing of personal data.

Coinbar S.p.a., throughout the Financial Asset, is the “Data Controller”. It is hence the entity which determines the purposes and the means of the processing of personal data concerning natural persons.

You, Coinbar Visitors and Users are “data subject”, i.e., the natural person to whom data refers, and you are entitled to be informed about who we are, which personal data we process, why we need them, how and for how long we process them. You are also entitled to be informed  about your obligations and your rights.


Depending on weather you are a simple Visitor or you are willing to use our Services, we collect and/or we need to ask you to provide us some Data that are necessary to use the Site and/or use our Services; when you visit the website, we collect information that don’t permit a direct identification and therefore we won’t process any Personal Data, but only browsing data.

With whom do we share data (Target Groups)?

To the minimum extent necessary to the achievement of any Purposes, we share the provided data with the following target groups:


a)       Parties with which we collaborate in order to perform the contract, which operate in their capacity of Data processor or as Independent Data Controller.

b)      Other parties that we have authorized (ex. Our employers) and that have committed to confidentiality or that respond to a legal obligation of confidentiality;

c)       Public organizations or Authorities, as required by the Applicable Legislation or in response to the requests from such Authorities, or to exercise or defend a right in court.


There is no dissemination of Personal Data, unless required, in accordance with the law, by Authorities, by information and security organizations or by other public parties for the protection or security of the State or for the prevention, detection or prosecution of crimes.



For how long do we keep your data?
Personal Data will be processed by our authorized internal staff, that is properly trained. Data will be processed , from the moment they are acquired or updated, in compliance with the principles of proportionality and necessity and for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes mentioned above, and in any event, unless the data subjects or legal provisions require otherwise, for a maximum  of 24 months, thereafter data will be deleted and destroyed.

Are you obliged to provide us Personal Data?

Browsing data (that usually is not Personal Data) are necessary to surf the Coinbar’s website.


Visitors, of course, aren’t obliged to use our services, to write us via the contacts page, to subscribe to the newsletter, but in case they want to, they must provide us with the required Personal Data.



What happen if you refuse to provide us with your Data?

Visitors can’t refuse to provide browsing data. The refusal to install Cookies won’t allow the correct functioning of the site.


If Users refuse to provide the data required, we won’t be able to perform and/or proceed with the Contract and to provide our Services


Transfer of Data abroad might transfer some Personal Data abroad to recipients who are outside the European Economic Area. We guarantee that the processing (electronic or paper form) of Personal Data by the Addressee will be compliant with Legislation UE 2016/679 and, in particular, that transfers are based on the adequacy decision or on standard contract clauses (Standard Model Clauses), approved by the European Commission. What rights do data subjects have?

You have the right to:


a)       have access to the Personal Data we own

b)      Ask for the rectification of incomplete or inaccurate Personal Data

c)       Ask for their erasure,  when the conditions for exercising this right are met.

d)      Ask for the restriction of the processing,  when the conditions for exercising this right are met,

e)      Object to the processing for Marketing purposes, for purposes related to your particular situation;

f)        Object to the processing for Marketing purposes, by not giving the consent or by revoking it later (if Lead or Prospect).

g)       Require a list of the Data Processors, together with Data useful to their identification.

h)      Receive your personal data and to transmit those data to another data controller, when the conditions for exercising this right are met and when it is technically possible.

i)        Lodge a complaint to the Data Protection Authority (in Italy, ), or to the Data Protection Authority of the EU State in which you habitually reside or where you work, or of the place where the infringement has occurred.
